Ros Moriarty’s new children’s picture book for 3 - 6 year olds, BEACH SONG, celebrates the wonder and joy a child feels in the natural world of the ocean and the beach.
Published by Allen & Unwin and gorgeously illustrated by Samantha Campbell, Beach Song is an adventure of a child exploring the sand and the water, imagining how it feels to connect with the creatures in the ocean and along the foreshore and dunes.
Beach Song is available at book shops and online.
‘Beach Song is a wonderful combination of story and pictures to remind us and to tempt us to rediscover that wonderful world waiting by the sea shore.’
‘Beach Song is the perfect picture book to bring the excitement of a day at the beach back home with you!’
‘This is a really gorgeous, gorgeous story.’
‘Moriarty has created a text that is a joy to read with beautiful language, alliteration, and some rhyme. Campbell’s illustrations are immersive and playful. The fun of the beach splashes onto each spread.’
